Turn-taking, sharing, following and giving instructions, and problem-solving together, all built into the activity itself.
Supports the Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Communication & Interaction areas of the Kent Mainstream Core Standards.
For many pupils, social skills are far easier to practise through a shared task than through direct instruction. Build Buddies uses collaborative building, with defined roles and a shared goal, to create natural opportunities for communication, turn-taking and problem-solving.
It's engaging by design, which means pupils who might disengage from more explicit social skills teaching often thrive here, while still working towards clear, trackable goals.
£100 / hour (2 sessions, up to 3 pupils), or £665 for a term pack of 7 x 1hr slots (5% off).
